Summary and Quiz

In this chapter, we explored the fundamental concepts of cloud and AWS.

Summary

We started with an introduction to Cloud Computing and its service and deployment models. We then created an account on AWS and learned about IAM users while discussing best practices to keep it secure.

Moving forward, we discovered the cloud’s highly available and resilient infrastructure. We learned how services deploy globally, in regions, and in availability zones to decrease network latency. We also explored the core services offered by AWS, including compute services, storage services, database services and more. Finally, we discussed how to use AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, and AWS SDK to configure, modify, deploy, and delete AWS resources.
