Add Shared Variables to a Library

Learn how to share the variables using a library instead of adding them in each pipeline.

It is possible that several pipelines share variables such as browser name, test plan id, test suite id, and API key. Instead of creating these variables in each pipeline, we can add them to a library.

Create variables in the library

  1. Hover over the Pipelines option of the left menu.

  2. Click on the Library option of the Pipelines menu.

  3. On the Library page, click the Variable Group button.

  4. Use GlobalVariables as the name for the new variable group.

  5. Create the BROWSER variable with the chrome value by clicking the Add button.

  6. Save the changes done to the new variable group.
