Introduction to AWS Management and Governance

Governing our cloud infrastructure according to the organization’s guidelines is as imperative as making it fast, consistent, and reliable. Operational efficiency, security and compliance, and cost benefits are key components in managing and governing AWS accounts.

AWS’s Management and Governance service provides various features for managing an organization’s AWS environments. These services include capabilities for monitoring and managing resource utilization, operational health, and compliance; automating and orchestrating workflows; ensuring resource security and compliance; and optimizing costs.

AWS CloudFormation is one service that AWS provides for managing and governing our AWS account. We’ll cover some more services and governance standards in this category.
