Let’s imagine that we work for a company that sells bikes. Our boss has asked us to produce a chart encouraging customers to buy a bike. After a web search, we find a dataset containing anomalies in global temperatures from 1880 to the present day (source: NASA/GISS). Plotting a quick chart shows that the temperature has risen about one degree above normal over the past 50 years.
