How to get the most out of this course

It is my duty to introduce you to the ins and outs of CSS in this course. Just before we get into that, this is how to make the most out of this course.

A lot of people (smarter than I am) have carried out research on learning. Learning itself is an interesting and intricate concept too, but I’m not going to bore you with the details of that.

However, my philosophy for learning is that you must build strong mental models when learning anything new.

While at it, do NOT try to send a rocket to Mars. Just build small things along the way.

Learn the basics; build small things, build upon those, and build more small things. Rinse, repeat, and then send a rocket to mars!

It is a painful process, largely because you need to be patient while at it.

Trust me, it works.

Ooops, I don’t Like that.

If for some reason you do not like my process, feel free to do what works for you. Just make sure it is based on some sort of deliberate practice.

When was the last time you saw a “build a twitter app” video on youtube?
Chances are after you saw this video you thought you understood the concepts until you were left with a blank screen - all alone.

The point I’m trying hard to make is, in the lessons that follow, I will insist that you solve the exercises associated with each lesson.

Solve the exercises, do the challenges, read my solution, and focus on understanding the small things.
